The Best Easy Breakfast Recipes

You’re here for the best of the best breakfast recipes, and I promise, you will find them! I love a good breakfast and it’s important to me that they are easy and healthy. Most of the time, we’re always on the go, but that doesn’t mean we can’t treat ourselves to a delicious breakfast.

Easy and healthy breakfast recipes must have wholesome ingredients (and the list has got to be short!). None of us have time to gather 20+ ingredients every morning to whip up a decked-out breakfast. All of these recipes feature ingredients that are good for you and serve a purpose! Mostly that purpose is adding nutrition to the meal and providing fuel for the day.

Why Is It Important to Eat a Healthy Breakfast?

Just like I tell my kids every morning – breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It’s safe to say that we feel a lot better when we eat a healthy breakfast every morning. You don’t want to cross my path on a day when I don’t have breakfast! Which is why I’m always looking for the best easy and healthy breakfast ideas.

As I mentioned before, breakfast is providing you with fuel for the day. And if that fuel is low or just not substantial, your day is going to suffer. So a healthy breakfast, whether it’s loaded with fruits, vegetables, protein, or all of the above, is the best way to start the day.

What Are The Healthiest Breakfast Foods?

You’ll see a lot of these healthy foods below in the list, but here are some of my top healthy breakfast foods. I try to focus on these foods when I’m making breakfast recipes.

  • Protein: You can find protein in many different sources. And when it comes to breakfast, you often find protein in eggs, sausage, Greek yogurt, nuts, cottage cheese, and turkey bacon.
  • Dairy: If your diet allows, dairy is a great source of calcium and vitamin D.
  • Fruits and Vegetables: This is a given, right?! I like to really load up on veggies in the morning for the vitamins, but also the fiber. That extra fiber helps me feel full for longer periods of time.
  • Healthy Carbohydrates: Some healthy carbs include oatmeal, bananas, and whole wheat bread.
