Post Offices
Whether you’re sending a letter or you’re an avid stamp collector, the post office is the number one spot for buying stamps.
Royal Mail sells individual first and second class stamps as well as stamp books.
Stamps are also available in denominations from 1p to £5.

WHSmith
WHSmith has been one of the nation’s favourite stationary and office supply shop for years.
You can buy first and second class stamps from WHSmith in-store.
You can also buy packs of four or 12 stamps online on WHSmith’s website.
Ryman
Ryman is a stationary shop with almost 200 stores across Britain.
If you need postage stamps, Ryman is a great place to go.
They sell first and second class stamps in a range of different pack sizes, including a 12 pack and a 100 pack.
They also sell sheets of 10p and 20p stamps.

Staples
Staples is another retailer selling office supplies and stationary.
It is a great place to buy postage stamps in bulk, especially if you need stamps for business purposes or to send out a large number of invites.
They sell first class stamps ranging from sheets of four to sheets of 300, and second class stamps ranging from sheets of four to sheets of 600.
Staples also sells collectibles for anyone who enjoys stamp collecting as a hobby.
Newsagents
There are around 3,000 newsagents in the UK and chances are your local one will sell stamps.
If you want to buy single stamps, newsagents are your best bet.
They will usually be more willing to split a book of stamps for you than bigger retailers.
If you do want to buy stamps in bulk, most newsagents will also sell stamp books for you to buy.
Supermarkets
Most of your local supermarkets will sell stamps.
If you regularly shop in a supermarket with a newsagent and tobacconist section, they will most likely also sell stamps.

How much do stamps cost?
Earlier this month (April 2022), Royal Mail hiked stamp prices up.
The cost of a first class stamp, which should have your letter arriving within one to two working days, is now 95p.
A second class stamp costs 68p and your letter should arrive after two to three working days.
