Mariska Hargitay is mourning the death of her Law & Order: SVU co-star Ned Eisenberg.

Back on February 28, it was announced that Ned had passed away at the age of 65 after a private battle with two forms of cancer: cholangiocarcinoma and ocular melanoma.

On Wednesday (March 2), Mariska broke her silence and shared a sweet message remembering Ned.

“My heart is so full of sadness over the loss of our dear, dear Ned Eisenberg,” Mariska wrote on Instagram.

“What a light and what a love,” she continued. “And such a first-rate actor, which pales next to him as a first-rate human. We will remember him always with his bright, mischievous smile and his wide-open heart.”

Mariska concluded, “We love and miss you, sweet Ned.”

Ned had a recurring role on SVU for over two decades playing defense attorney Roger Kressler.

Ned was also known for his roles on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Mare of Easttown, Little Voice, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, 30 Rock, and White Collar.
