Non-Vaccinated expatriates can enter Kuwait from next week

As per the Kuwaiti Cabinet’s latest decision, which applies to citizens and expatriates, passengers entering Kuwait are divided into three categories. Non-vaccinated, Not fully vaccinated and fully vaccinated.

The Non-vaccinated are those who did not receive any Kuwait-approved Covid vaccine or those who received a single dose of vaccine. They are allowed to enter Kuwait after conducting a (PCR) examination 72 hours before their entry to the flight, stating that they are free from Corona infection. They will have to take home quarantine for a period of 7 days after arrival, and on the 7th day, they need to conduct a PCR test to end the home quarantine.

This will be a significant relief to the thousands of Indians who are still stranded in India after taking Covaxin as the Ministry of Health has not yet approved the Covaxin vaccine.

Passengers who are not fully vaccinated are those who have completed nine months after their second dose and have not taken the booster dose. They don’t need to take a PCR test before entering the country. However, they are committed to home quarantine for a period of 7 days after their arrival, with the possibility of ending the quarantine before by conducting a PCR test.

Fully vaccinated are those who received the booster dose of the approved vaccine. Those who completed two doses of the vaccine and did not complete nine months also come under this category. Those who recovered from Covid infection within the last three months are also fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated passengers do not need a PCR test for entering the country. Home quarantine is also not required for them.

Meanwhile, the Council urged all arriving passengers to conduct a rapid home examination if they are showing any symptoms. If the test is positive, conduct a PCR test to confirm the infection.
