Canada’s Brad Gushue clinched a curling semifinal spot at the Beijing Olympics during some time off on Wednesday.
RESULTS | With these scores, Canada men have qualified their spot in the play-offs!

Losses by Switzerland and the Russians ensured idle Canada (5-3) will finish in the top four in the men’s standings.
Gushue’s final round-robin game is Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. ET against reigning World Championship runner-up Bruce Mouat (7-1) of Great Britain, who is tied with Sweden’s Niklas Edin for top spot.
A win in the finale would lock Canada into third place.
Reigning Olympic champ John Shuster (4-4) of the United States, who beat Edin in the 2018 Pyeongchang final, can wrap up the fourth semifinal spot with a win over Denmark in the final draw.
The men’s semifinals are Thursday at 7:05 a.m. ET.
