Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will be hoping his side can overcome their recent defeat in the League Cup final by picking up all three points against Burnley on Saturday.
The hosts have only lost four home games this season, so Chelsea will have to be at their very best if they are to pick up an important win at Turf Moor.
However, Tuchel may have to do that with a make-shift defence, following an injury to Cesar Azpilucueta in the cup final and an ankle injury that has kept Andreas Christensen out of action for the past two games.
As such, Reece James should return to the starting XI, with Marcos Alonso on the left and a back three of Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah.
Tuchel should have no fresh injury concerns in midfield, so we should see the Chelsea manager stick with Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante in the centre of the park, with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz stepping into the attacking midfield roles. Hakim Ziyech remains a doubt through injury.
Both Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku were back amongst the goals this past week, but Tuchel should stick with the latter for Saturday’s physical test against Burnley.
