MUMBAI: Last night, Ekta Kapoor’s reality show titled “Lock Upp,” where 17 contestants will be locked in jail, play the game, and fight for getting bail to survive, was launched on MX Player and AltBalaji.

The audiences have given it a thumbs-up.  

Kangana Ranaut will be making her OTT debut with the show as the host where she will be guiding the contestants.

Tehseen Poonawalla is one of the confirmed contestants on the show and he would be playing the game along with other contestants and would try his best to reach the finale.

Before he entered the show, TellyCgakkar got in touch with him and asked him what was the reason why he signed the show and what would be his trigger point

What prompted you to di the show? Since there is speculation about it being similar to Bigg Boss and you have been a part of the show, what made you say “yes” to the show?

It is not fair to compare Bigg Boss and Lock Upp as both the shows have different concepts. Lock Upp will take the bar a little high and it would be on another level. The reason for me to say “yes” to the show was Ekta Kapoor as she is a genius when it comes to reality shows. I trust her completely as she is the producer. Once again a show has come for outsiders to make their name, and this show will give them all the fame and success.

What is your trigger point that will put you off or make you furious?

To be honest, I don’t who are the contestants on the show and I am not going inside with a preconceived notion. At the end, the audience will decide who is wrong and right and will take the right decision. The one thing that put me off is bad odour.

What kind of relationship would you like to build in the house and any game plans you would like to share?

I would love to play the game without any strategy as it wouldn’t work. I want to build true relations in the house, just the way I built a relationship with late actor Siddarth Shukla as I am still in contact with his mother and sister. That’s a true relationship that I am looking for.

Well, Tehseen Poonawalla will be an interesting contestant to watch on the show.
