Arsenal’s hunt for a top four finish rumbles on this week with a tricky clash against Brentford at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side could certainly take a tremendous step forward with a win against their impressive guests but to do so they’ll have to navigate round some tricky injuries and suspensions ahead of the match.
In defence, Arsenal will be without in-form right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu, who remains out through injury. As such, they’ll turn to Cedric Soares to start on the right, with Kieran Tierney on the left and the typical midfield duo of Gabriel and Ben White.
In midfield, Arteta should have a relatively full-strength stock of midfielders to pick from so we can expect to see Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey pair up in the middle of the park, with Martin Odegaard playing in a slightly more advanced role.
A red card suspension for Gabriel Martinelli will likely mean a start on the left wing for Emile Smith Rowe, with Bukayo Saka taking up his usual spot on the right wing. Which would then mean Alexandre Lacazette playing up front as the club’s typical No.9.
