Now this is just getting tiresome. Unless they intend to put their money where their mouths are by funding/producing the show themselves, their protestations are meaningless.
The cast/crew should count themselves lucky that the show has soldiered on for well over a decade with minimal financial contribution from the local broadcaster. It doesn’t appear that news of the show’s impending cancellation have been of any benefit to local viewership either.
The only other way I can see the show going on with minimal disruption is if they dump some of the regular cast. For all of the show’s money woes, one would think that the producers would be a little smarter and have fewer regulars than when the show was actually profitable.
