STRICTLY’S Nadiya Bychkova has opened up about her relationship with Kai Widdrington.

The dancer, 32, feels very relaxed around the 26-year-old and thinks that his is “kind and compassionate”.

The Sun revealed that the pair started dating in January.

Since then fans of the BBC show have loved seeing the couple’s relationship blossom.

Nadiya recently spoke about their romance, confessing: “It’s early days and we’ve been rehearsing for the Strictly Professionals tour, so there’s been very little free time.

She added to the Daily Mail’s weekend magazine: “But we’re getting to know more and more about each other day by day.

“He’s kind and compassionate and makes me laugh.

“I feel very relaxed with him.’

Nadiya split from her footballer fiancé Matija Škarabot in January this year.

She broke up with the father of her five-year-old daughter Mila because she struggled with maintaining a long-distance relationship.

A source at the time told MailOnline: “Nadiya and Matija haven’t been together for some time now.

“Matija is dedicated to his footballing career in Slovenia and Nadiya is predominantly based in London.

“Performing on Strictly and the Strictly Live Tour takes up half her year, in the end the commitment to their jobs made it too difficult for the relationship to work.

“There’s still a lot of love and respect between them and Mila is and always will be their priority.”

Speaking about her ex, Nadiya said: “You’re apart for so much of your lives and neither of us wanted that. Unfortunately we grew apart.

“But we’ll always be connected by Mila, who we love more than anyone, and we’ll do our best to make sure she’s t h e h a p p i e st child.

“It’s important to Matija and me that we have a good relationship for Mila’s sake.

“Having a child surpasses everything else.

“We make sure it all works around her and we both understand our responsibilities.”

Shortly after their split, it was revealed that Nadiya had been comforted by Kai and they had “grown close”.

Earlier this month the pair proved they’re getting serious by taking big step in their relationship.

A source told The Sun: “Moving in together was the obvious next step for Nadiya and Kai. They’ve grown so close and it just made sense.

“Kai helped Nadiya move in her belongings this week and they’re excited about making their property feel like a shared home.”
