Australian GP Live: Charles Leclerc wins the Australian GP: Charles Leclerc wins the race followed by Sergio Perez and George Russell. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took his second pole of the season after going fastest in the Q3 session. It is Ferrari’s first pole after 15 years at the Australian Grand Prix. Red Bull’s Verstappen and Perez finished second and third and will start from the front row. Whereas, Mercedes had a promising day as Hamilton and Russell finished fifth and sixth in qualifying. McLaren looked comfortable and saw both their drivers in the top 10 for the first time this season. Lando Norris finished fourth and Daniel Ricciardo in his home race settled for seventh place. The veteran driver Fernando Alonso crashed his car and saw DNF next to his name. But, he will start the race in the tenth place.

Valtteri Bottas was eliminated after the Q2 session. His streak of qualifying for the Q3 session came to an end. Even Haas was looking a bit off their pace after having two good races. Mick finished in the fifteenth position and Kevin Magnussen seventeenth.
Alex Albon will see himself having a three-place grid penalty for the Australian Grand Prix. The reason being he was involved in a collision with Lance Stroll in Turn 1 of the 48th lap at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Nicholas Latifi and Lance Stroll crashed Turn 6 meaning Latifi settled for nineteenth place finish and Stroll being the last. Meanwhile, Lance Stroll will also serve a three-place grid penalty for his crash with Nicholas Latifi at the Australian Grand Prix.
