At the Will Smith and Chris Rock debacle continues to unfold, new details have been released daily with the newest from producer Will Packer.

The “Think Like A Man” producer, who led the Oscars first all-Black production team on Sunday night, exclusively sat down with ABC News and stated the LAPD were prepared to arrest Will Smith.

Packer stated, “They were saying, you know, this is battery was the word they use in that moment,” Packer said. “They said we will go get him; we are prepared. We’re prepared to get him right now. You can press charges. We can arrest him. They were laying out the options, and as they were talking, Chris was being very dismissive of those options. He was like, ‘No, I’m fine.’ He was like, ‘No, no, no.’”

Packer also stated that he didn’t speak to will directly after he slapped Will Smith.

As you know, LAPD put out a statement on Sunday night and stated “investigative entities were aware” of the incident but Chris Rock has declined to file a police report.”

Most recently, Tony Rock stated “it’s on” during a weekly Q&A session on Twitter. One commenter asked, “Do you approve of the apology?” Tony tweeted, “No.” When asked if thangs were going to remain “professional” or “fight fire with fire,” he replied, “It’s on bro.” As some assumed he was alluding to trading places with Chris, the actor referred to the movie “Trading Places,” when asked what movie he would love to star in.

Someone also asked if Smith’s Oscar should be revoked.Tony answered, “Not my call.” As he continued, someone asked who hit stronger Smith or Jada’s boyfriend (seemingly alluding to August Alsina), he replied, “Mama Rock.”

Since the incident, Will Smith has apologized.
