5 year jail, 5,000 KD fine for assaulting policemen in Kuwait
The Ministry of Interior stressed that it will take legal measures against anyone who assaults a policeman, especially while doing his duty.
This came after repeated incidents of assault on police officers have been reported in recent times.

The law stipulates that by assaulting a member of the police force while carrying out his duty with an intention of resisting him or disrupting his duty, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a period not exceeding 5 years and a fine not exceeding 5,000 dinars or any one of these.
However, if the assault is in the form of verbal insult or insult by gesture, the punishment will be imprisonment for a period not exceeding two years and a fine not exceeding 3,000 dinars, or any one of this.
The Ministry of Interior called on citizens and residents to abide by the law in order to protect the public order.
