Elsie + Emma’s 10 Most-Loved Home Electronics

I think we all have items that we love to use on a daily basis—things that make our life easier/more pleasant or spark a little joy.

Since we like to make your lives a little better as well, we thought we’d compile and share 10 of Elsie and Emma’s most-loved home electronics in case some of them may be just the thing your daily routine is missing!

coffee machine below a rack of labeled spices
bluetooth speaker

Marshall Bluetooth Speaker

A little bit vintage, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and all style …

Elsie loves this speaker’s wireless capabilities, and the compact design yields well-balanced sound even at high levels (while keeping all-important bass levels).

It has three interaction knobs to give you custom control over base, treble + volume, and you can hook it up wirelessly via Bluetooth and connect to the Marshall app to sync with smart home devices to get just the sound you want.

Here’s a similar vibe option that’s a little more budget-friendly and this one is really cute as well!

coffee machine

Smeg Drip Coffee Maker

Vintage style meets modern coffee-making capabilities

While the Smeg line is always a bit of a splurge, (this model is also cute for those who want a budget option), Elsie loves her drip coffee maker for easy daily cups of coffee in between mom and work-related duties.

You can choose from two coffee strengths and the auto start feature lets you set a time to begin brewing (so you can wake up to your favorite brew).

frame tv hung on wall

Samsung Frame TV

What TV? All I see is a work of art …

One of Elsie’s favorite home electronics is her Samsung Frame TV! It comes in several sizes and has an “art mode” when you aren’t actively watching your shows, so that it looks like a legit piece of art with mat options to really give it that artistic look.

You can buy digital art (this is the one pictured) to fit your color scheme and style to switch out at the press of a button, and you can also switch out the frame color to match other art and room decor.

essential oil diffuser

Supernova Essential Oil Diffuser

Turn on the light for a magical star-like effect!

Elsie diffuses essential oils on the daily, and the Supernova diffuser is a team favorite because of the pretty ceramic and wood combination and the star cut pattern looks pretty magical when you turn the light on (it has seven changing LED light color options).

It has a timer control for 60, 90 or 120 minutes, an automatic shut-off when empty, and a seven-hour continuous or 14-hour intermittent mode.

google hub

Google Hub

Listen to music (and more) hands free!

Emma loves her Google Hub for playing music, but you can also do things like set a kitchen timer, and it can be all hands free (which is great when she’s on mom duty).

You can also watch videos and control your compatible lights, TVs, and other smart devices. You can book restaurant reservations from the Hub and even access meditations through the Calm app, as well.

smart lock set

Nest Smart Lock

Has keyless entry on the LED keypad so you can lock (and unlock) your front door without a key.

Emma’s a big fan of her Nest Smart Lock since she can let someone in from anywhere, or unlock the door with her phone for easy guest access.

You can give unique passcodes to family and guests and set a schedule to control when they work (and when you don’t want to be disturbed).

Privacy mode disables the keypad so it can’t be unlocked with a passcode, and it can also alert you if someone locks/unlocks the door or tries to tamper with it.

pink gooseneck kettle

Electric Gooseneck Kettle

Comes in seven color options to match your kitchen!

Elsie and Emma both love their electric kettles, and the gooseneck design means that it’s great for tea water but also perfect for making pour over coffee.

You can control the temperature to the exact degree you need for your type of tea or coffee product. The Stagg kettle is a bit of a splurge, but they also make similar inexpensive models like this that are sleek and attractive as well.

handheld vacuum

Shark Handheld Vacuum

Lightweight with a powerful cordless suction.

Emma loves her Shark handheld vacuum (you can read her review here) and uses it a lot now that her son is crawling.

It’s lightweight and cordless, so it’s also perfect to go under his high chair after he eats the little scraps he drops. It comes with a charging dock and has a one-touch emptying system so you never have to get your hands dirty.

It has a Multi-Surface Pet Tool for upholstery, carpets, and pet hair and you can zero in on tight spaces and car cleaning with the Duster Crevice Tool.

record player

Bluetooth Record Player

Dust off your record collection and play them on the daily!

Playing records is a favorite pastime in Elsie’s house, so having a record player is a must! Elsie has this player and loves it, but it’s a little more expensive for the built-in preamp option. This similar Crosley is a good choice since it already has a built-in preamp—you’ll be ready to rock right out of the box.

speaker set

Audioengine Bluetooth Speaker Set

The perfect companion for your record player!

Elsie uses these speakers with her record player since they sound amazing and are also very pretty. It can be hard to find speakers that are quality and look nice, so it’s great to find a brand that does both very well!
