EXCLUSIVE: Seven has promoted National Publicist Kate Amphlett as the network’s Head of Publicity.
She will be responsible for setting the strategy and direction for Seven’s Publicity team, spanning News, Public Affairs and Sport and Entertainment.
Sydney-based Amphlett has been with Seven for nearly 16 years working across drama, light entertainment, reality and lifestyle programs plus major events including Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Australian Open, Upfronts and numerous international publicity tours.
Her appointment follows the 17 year tenure of Susan Wood, who departed in 2020 and a brief period by Julia Lefort as Director of Corporate Affairs and Publicity.
Chief Marketing Officer Charlotte Valente told TV Tonight, “Kate has been with Seven for almost 16 years and has proven to be an incredible asset in this time…. this is a well-deserved promotion.”
Alison Booth continues as National Publicity Manager of Entertainment and Brittany Stack as National Publicity Manager of News, Public Affairs & Sport.
Amphlett’s appointment is effective immediately.
