Manchester United moved back into the Premier League top four with a hardfought 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Despite Harry Maguire’s best attempts to upend his team’s chances of claiming all three points with a second half own goal, Cristiano Ronaldo came to the rescue for his side with a remarkable hat-trick.

The result now means that Man Utd have moved up into fourth place in the league table, while Spurs were forced to slump to seventh. However, the Red Devils will need to be wary of an Arsenal side that have no less than four games in hand and are just two points behind them.
Prior to the late kick off, Liverpool continued their attempts to keep pace with Manchester City, with a confident 2-0 victory over Brighton.
Fans of the Anfield club were left purring, following goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah and an overall performance that suggested that Jurgen Klopp’s side have plenty left in the tank to challenge City for another league title.
Elsewhere, Brentford put further distance between themselves and the relegation spots by beating Burnley 2-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium.
A brace from Ivan Toney proved more than enough to down Burnley, who currently sit on just one away win for the season and, most worryingly, still in a relegation spot.
