Easy and Refreshing Frosé
When you’re hanging with my friends you want something light, refreshing, and fruity to drink, right? This is especially true when it is really hot out.
The best way to make a refreshing summer drink is to make it frozen! Adding ice and blending a cocktail to a smooth and fruity beverage is perfection in a glass.
Frozen cocktails are amazing. Like, really, really delicious, and having one always seems like a special treat. But, more often than not, they are made with liquor like rum. We all love a Strawberry Daiquiri, but sometimes it’s fun to mix it up and make something different. So, this is where the frosé is pure genius.
It’s blended, wine-based, fruity, and a whole lotta fun. You’ll need to open a whole bottle to make the recipe, so call your friends now!
What is a Frosé? What Does it Taste Like?
A frosé is basically frozen rosé wine with a few bonus ingredients. Adding fruit and a little sweetness makes it more refreshing and flavorful.
If you like rosé or any other sweet wine wines, you’ll love this Frosé recipe. The frosé has a juicy and fruity flavor from the strawberries. Adding a little bit of lemon highlights those flavors and brings an extra citrus kick. The honey mellows the acid in the drink and, of course, adds a bit more sweetness.
It’s basically a berry-boosted rosé and I know you’re going to love it.
Recipe Ingredients
This no prep frosé is really easy to make. You’ll just need a few extra ingredients in addition to your favorite bottle of rosé.
- Frozen Strawberries – You can buy a bag of frozen strawberries or freeze your own. The important thing is that they are frozen before making this drink.
- Ice – It’s not a frosé without blending ice!
- Lemon Juice – A bit of lemon juice adds a little spark to the drink. A splash of citrus makes everything better in my opinion.
- Honey – You could use another liquid sweetener here if you’d like. Maple syrup and agave syrup are two good examples.
- Rosé – I personally like a dry rosé for this recipe so that it’s not overly sweet. I also try not to use my most expensive bottle. You’re adding other ingredients that will change the flavor of the wine, so it’s ok to use a less expensive rosé.
How to Make Frosé
Do you have a good blender? Good. That’s basically all you’ll need to make this easy no prep frosé.
Add all of the ingredients to a blender. No, you don’t need a fancy blender here to make this recipe. But, it is handy to have a good high-powered one so you’re sure everything blends together nice and smooth.
Blend the ingredients together until it’s a perfect frosé. It’s smooth, pretty pale pink perfection in a glass!
Tips for Success
This Frosé is so easy. There is really no prep involved, but there are a few tips to help you along the way.
- Use a good blender. A blender is really the only tool that’s going to get the ice to break down to the smooth consistency you want.
- No strawberries? No problem. Strawberries are a key ingredient, but you can always try a different berry or fruit. Watermelon and raspberries would be two fun options to try. Just make sure it’s frozen!
- Adjust the sweetness, if you’d like. If you want it a little sweeter, add more honey. It’s up to you and your tastebuds.
What to Serve with a Frosé
You’ll want a little snack to go along with your frosé. I have some really great ideas!
