Formula 1: Penalty points List of Every Driver – The penalty points are handed out to the drivers in Formula 1 if they do something which is considered dangerous by FIA. This could include causing a collision, ignoring yellow flags, or even driving fast under the safety car. The penalty points remain on the license of a driver for a year before it expires. Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton has 2 Penalty Points under his name and they will expire on 18th July 2022. He got them at the British Grand Prix last year. The reason for getting those penalty points was causing a collision with Max Verstappen during the race.

George Russell

George Russell has 1 Penalty Point under his name and it will expire on 17th July 2022. He got them at the British Grand Prix last year. The reason for getting that penalty point was causing a collision with Carlos Sainz at Turn 6 during the sprint qualifying.

Max Verstappen

The reigning Formula 1 champion has 7 Penalty Points under his name. He got two in the Italian Grand Prix last year, which expires on 12th September 2022. The reason for getting those penalty points was causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton in Turn 2.

He again got two penalty points at the Qatar Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 21st November 2022. The reason was a failure to respect the double yellow flag during qualifying. Another two points penalty he got at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which will expire on 5th December 2022. The reason was he braked-tested and caused a collision with Hamilton at Turn 26.

Max has one point penalty to his name which he again got at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. It expires on 5th December 2022. The reason was he left the track on which he gained a lasting advantage.

Sergio Perez

Sergio Perez has got 5 Penalty Points under his name. The first two he got were at the Austrian Grand Prix, which expires on 4th July 2022. The reason was he forced Charles Leclerc off the track.

Another two points penalty he got again at the Austrian Grand Prix, which will expire on 4th July 2022. The reason was he again forced Charles Leclerc off the track. One point penalty that he got was at the Italian Grand Prix, which expires on 12th September 2022. The reason was he left the track and gained an advantage.

Charles Leclerc

Thankfully for the Ferrari driver, Charles has 0 Penalty Points under his name. He made zero mistakes in the last season of Formula 1.

Carlos Sainz is the other Ferrari driver who has 0 Penalty Points to his name. This proves that both the Ferrari drivers were on point last season and made zero errors.

Lando Norris

Lando Norris has got 5 Penalty Points to his name. The first three penalty points he got were at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. It will expire on 5th June 2022 and the reason was he didn’t enter the pit lane and continued on the track during a red flag period.

The two penalty points he got were at the Austrian Grand Prix, which will expire on 4th July 2022. The reason was he had forced Sergio Perez off the track.

Daniel Ricciardo

Daniel Ricciardo has got 2 Penalty Points under his name. The first he got were at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and it will expire on 25th March 2023. The reason was he was impeding Esteban Ocon during qualifying. The second he got was at the Miami Grand Prix and it will expire on 8th May 2023. The reason was he left the track at Turn 12 and gained a lasting advantage.

Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso has just got 5 Penalty Points under his name. The first two he got were at the Turkish Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 10th October 2022. The reason was he had a collision with Mick Schumacher in turn 4.

Then he got two points at the Miami Grand Prix which will expire on 8th May 2023. The reason was he collided with Pierre Gasly in Turn 1. He again got a point penalty at the Miami Grand Prix which will expire on 8th May 2023. This time the reason was he left the track at Turn 14 which led to a lasting advantage.

Esteban Ocon

Esteban Ocon has got 3 Penalty Points to his name. He got one penalty point at the Italian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 12th September 2022. The reason was he had failed to leave one car width and caused a collision with Sebastian Vettel.

Yuki Tsunoda has got 7 Penalty Points under his name. He got one penalty point at the Styrian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 26th June 2022. The reason was he was impeding Valtteri Bottas during qualifying.

The other one-point penalty he got was at the Austrian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 4th July 2022. The reason was he had crossed the white line at the pit entry. Yuki also got one point penalty at the Austrian Grand Prix last year, which again expires on 4th July 2022. The reason was he had again crossed the white line at the pit entry.

He got two penalty points at the Brazilian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 14th November 2022. The reason was he had a collision with Lance Stroll in Turn 1. Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel has got 1 Penalty Point under his name and it will expire on 3rd July 2022. He got them at the Austrian Grand Prix last year. The reason was he was impeding Fernando Alonso during qualifying.

Lance Stroll has got 7 Penalty Points under his name. Lance got a two points penalty at the Hungarian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 1st August 2022. The reason was he caused an avoidable collision in Turn 1. The other two points penalty he got was at the Russian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 26th September 2022. The reason was he had a collision with Pierre Gasly in Turn 8.

He got one penalty point at the Australian Grand Prix this year, which will expire on 10th April 2023. The reason was more than one change of direction to defend a position. He got two more penalty points at the Australian Grand Prix this year, which will expire on 9th April. The reason was he had a collision with Nicholas Latifi during qualifying.

Alex Albon

Alex Albon has got 2 Penalty Points under his name and they will expire on 26th March 2023. He got it at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The reason was he had a collision with Lance Stroll in Turn 1 of the 48th lap.

Nicholas Latifi

Nicholas Latifi has 6 Penalty Points under his name. The first three he got were at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 6th June 2022. The reason was he had not entered the pit lane as instructed during the safety car period.

Valtteri Bottas

Valtteri Bottas has 5 Penalty Points under his name. The first two he got were at the Styrian Grand Prix last year, which will expire on 25th June 2022. The reason was he was driving dangerously in the pit lane.

Guanyu Zhou

The rookie driver for Alfa Romeo has got 1 Penalty Point under his name and they will expire on 26th March 2023. He got it at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The reason was he overtook Alex Albon by braking late and also leaving the track at Turn 1 which made him gain an advantage.

Kevin Magnussen

Kevin Magnussen has 2 Penalty Points under his name, which will expire on 8th May 2023. The reason was he had a collision with Lance Stroll at Turn 11.

Mick Schumacher

Mick Schumacher is the third driver on the grid who has 0 Penalty Points under his name.
