Barcelona have booked their place in next season’s Champions League after winning 2-1 at Real Betis on Saturday evening.
The Blaugrana have been in inconsistent form in recent weeks but found their feet when they needed to. Ansu Fati came off the bench to put Barca ahead on 76 minutes, only for former Barca defender Marc Bartra to equalise a few minutes later.
But Jordi Alba clinched all the points for Barcelona deep into injury time to take Barcelona up to 69 points.
With three games remaining, they cannot be caught by any of the teams outside of the top four.
Real Madrid, of course, are already champions and they will be hoping to celebrate their Champions League win over Man City when they play the Madrid derby versus Atletico on Sunday.
Atletico can all but clinch their Champions League place by winning that game, while Sevilla can do the same at Villarreal.
Elsewhere on Saturday, there were some big scores.
Granada thrashed Mallorca 6-2 to move out of the relegation zone and push their opponents into it.
Also at the bottom, Alaves are as good as down after being thrashed 4-0 by Celta Vigo.
Cadiz opened up a three-point gap from the bottom three by beating Elche 3-0, all of their goals coming late in the game.
In the one forgettable match of Saturday, Athletic Bilbao and Valencia drew 0-0 – a result that did little for the Basque team’s European qualification hopes.
