Reports have emerged of a new doco project for Todd Sampson underway, for 10 and possibly Paramount+.
Social media posts show Sampson standing beside far right extremist Blair Cottrell, who drew headlines around SKY News and ABC appearances.
Guardian Australia reports the two-part documentary on “love and hate” sees Sampson explore how the internet has polarised society. It suggests Cottrell is not in the doco but attended filming with his friend, neo-Nazi Tom Sewell -who was previously charged with assaulting a Nine security guard.
Anti-fascist campaigner Tom Tanuki, who declined to participate, has shared a number of posts which also suggest producers have been researching single men fed up with dating apps.
10 is yet to confirm details but has previously announced a new doco for Sampson for 2022.
Sampson, who will return to Gruen Nation on ABC in May, has been contacted for comment.
