According to People, Kipper said he was not sure how Depp was injured during the incident, which took place in March 2015 while he was in Australia to film Pirates of the Caribbean.
Depp has claimed that his fingertip was severed after Amber Heard allegedly “threw a large glass vodka bottle” at him. He has said that the bottle hit the countertop and his hand, causing his fingertip to be severed.
In the original declaration for the defamation lawsuit, Depp said, “I had to have three surgeries to reconstruct my finger and contracted MRSA three times… I feared that I would lose my finger, my arm and my life.”
Kipper testified during the deposition that that he was called to Depp‘s residence and cleaned the actor’s wound before taking him to the emergency room. He instructed staff at the house to search for the fingertip, which he says was found by the actor’s chef.
“He said he found it in the kitchen area,” Kipper said, according to Variety.
The outlet reports that he “testified that Heard was there and she seemed upset. But the doctor did not notice that she had any injuries, and he said she did not seek medical attention.”
Kipper testified that Depp texted him and claimed he cut his own finger, which he also allegedly told the ER doctor. “I think that’s what it said, yes,” the doctor said about the text message.
Johnny‘s personal text messaged about Amber were revealed in court.
