Teams for Round 6 of the NRL season have been announced with Blake Taaffe handed the assignment of filling in at fullback for South Sydney while Latrell Mitchell is out with a torn hamstring.
As he did last year in the team’s run to the grand final when Mitchell was suspended, Taaffe will occupy the No.1 jersey for the Rabbitohs, starting with the Good Friday clash with the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium.
Luke Brooks has been switched to five-eighth at the Wests Tigers with Jackson Hastings at halfback.
Payne Haas and injured half Albert Kelly have been handed one-game bans for their recent scuffle. Haas has been slugged $10,000 and Kelly fined $5000 for their misconduct.
The Warriors have not named Marcelo Montoya in their squad with the winger referred straight to the judiciary hearing on Tuesday night for making a homophobic slur in the clash with the Cowboys. Veteran winger Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will make his comeback from a four-match injury lay-off with a broken thumb for the SCG showdown with the Roosters, replacing Montoya in the run-on side.
Round 6 runs over five days with the Eels and Tigers taking part in their traditional Easter Monday clash at a sold-out CommBank Stadium.
