Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will have to think long and hard about which team he picks ahead of Saturday’s trip to Southampton.
Following the London club’s 4-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League and their struggles in the Premier League, Chelsea risk seeing their entire season spiral out of control unless they can bounce back with a win against the Saints.
As such, Tuchel is likely to make some notable changes to his side.
In defence we should see that play out, with Cesar Azpilicueta coming in for Reece James at right wing-back, while Marcos Alonso takes up the position on the left. Antonio Rudiger will likely drop to the bench, with a back three of Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah.
In midfield, Chelsea will likely go with a midfield duo of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, which likely means N’Golo Kante will also drop to the bench.
In attack, Tuchel is likely to stick with Kai Havertz after his goal against Real Madrid, but we should instead see Hakim Ziyech replace Christian Pulisic and pay an attacking role alongside Mason Mount
