Kuwait: Move to introduce compulsory health insurance for visit visa

Kuwait is currently discussing the possibility of introducing compulsory health insurance for anyone coming to the country on a commercial visit visa.

According to local report, Chairman of the Union of Insurance Companies, Khaled Al-Hassan, stated that the insurance companies are preparing a product to suit this requirement such that the visitor intends to stay for a day or a month will benefit from this insurance.

The proposed insurance amount is around KD 20 if approved.
