On two consecutive occasions, it has leaked over 300 runs. Even Shaheen Shah’s return to the team for the 2nd ODI did not limit the damage. The left-arm pacer bowled well and picked up 4 wickets, but the rest of the bowlers cut a sorry figure. A better bowling performance is what Azam would be hoping for from his bowlers in the 3rd ODI.
On the other hand, Australia slightly slipped in the bowling department. In the second ODI, their bowlers let the game slip. Sean Abbott had a forgetful outing with the ball in hand. Leg spinner Adam Zampa also had a rare bad day. With the series in line, Australia need their bowling to step up.
The batting has been solid with Travis Head and Ben McDermott leading the charge. Finch has been slightly of color and has not been at his brutal best. Apart from that small concern, the top six batters have contributed nicely.
