Whew! The Will Smith and Chris Rock debacle has everybody and their mamas giving all types of opinions, including Alec Baldwin.

On Tuesday, Baldwin, who is facing a wrongful death lawsuit for the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of his film, ‘Rust,’ took to Twitter and wrote, “I am not reading much about how, or even if, the producers attended to Chris.”

Baldwin continued, “But I love you, @chrisrock. And I’m sorry the Oscars turned into the Jerry Springer show.”

A few people on Twitter gave their opinions about his tweet. One person said, “Alec Baldwin physically assaulted at least 3 photographers, was kicked off a flight for being belligerent, verbally abused police officers in NYC, called his 11 year old daughter a “thoughtless pig,” punched a man over a parking spot, and killed someone on set. SIT THIS ONE OUT.”

Someone else added, “Alec Baldwin killed someone shot and killed a woman on set and is trying to strong-arm her family out of suing.”

Another person tweeted, “Alec Baldwin should be the last guy commenting on this stuff.”

Alec Baldwin has a long history of being labeled as aggressive and doing things deemed inappropriate that spans over a decade.

In 1995, Alec Baldwin “was placed under citizen’s arrest after allegedly punching a photographer in the nose, according to the Los Angeles Times. Baldwin said at the time he was trying to protect his then-newborn daughter Ireland from paparazzi,” according to USA Today.

Also, in 2013, the actor was caught on camera yelling a homophobic slur at a photographer but later apologized.

As you may know, his wife Hilaria Baldwiin has had her own fair share of controversy. She was accused of pretending to be from Spain and faking an accent back in 2021. She later apologized after she was exposed. The Boston native said “she should have made things more clear.”

Since the Oscars, Will has issued a public statement apologizing to the Academy and Chris Rock.

Roomies, what y’all think about Alec Baldwin’s statement?
