Carlos Sainz who has settled for a third spot set a lap time of 1m28.402s. Meanwhile, the reigning Formula 1 champion, Max Verstappen finished fourth. Max had set a lap time of 1m28.461s.

The big disappointment of the qualifying session came in the form of Lewis Hamilton. Lewis was eliminated after the Q1 session. It will be the Brit’s worst-ever start since the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix.
Mercedes are literally struggling to find real pace throughout the whole weekend. However, the newly joined driver for Mercedes, George Russell settles for a P6 finish. It looks like George isn’t struggling that much in comparison to his teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Kevin Magnussen again finds himself in the tenth spot. Since his return to the paddock, Kevin has really shown signs that he belongs in the F1 scene. The Veteran Fernando Alonso had a good outing as he settles for a P7 finish.
Nicholas Latifi had a crash in the Q2 session. Later on, Mick Schumacher had a huge crash in the Q2 session at Turn 12. Thankfully Mick is completely fine and was taken to the hospital for further checks.

Both the McLaren drivers again struggled as Norris finished eleventh and Ricciardo twelfth. But, Daniel Ricciardo has been handed a three-place grid penalty. Meanwhile, Daniel will now start at the fourteenth position. They were struggling throughout the weekend as they did in Bahrain Grand Prix.
