UK police series The Responder, starring Martin Freeman, was this week renewed for a second season by BBC.

It is BBC’s second biggest new drama of 2022 so far, launching with nearly 10 million viewers across 30-days.

Series 2 (5×60’) is again written by ex-police officer Tony Schumacher and produced by Dancing Ledge Productions.

The Responder, which is screening in Australia on SBS, will once again be set and filmed in Liverpool.
