Samuel L. Jackson got super excited to be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week with guest host Leslie Jones.
The 73-year-old actor stopped by the program to open up about his new Apple TV+ limited series, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, and also opened up about the honorary Oscar he’ll be receiving this weekend.

“It’s a real honor to be given this by the Governors of The Academy because I’ve represented this industry in a specific kind of way,” he explained of the honor. “I went out and did what I’ve always wanted to do and I’ve entertained a lot of people – putting butts in seats in movie theaters.”
Sam went on, “It makes me feel that I am an ambassador for Hollywood.”
