Simone Ashley is the star of the second season of Bridgerton and she’s opening up about what it was really like to wear a corset every day on set.

The 26-year-old British actress, best known for her work in Netflix’s Sex Education, Kate Sharma, who becomes the love interest of Jonathan Bailey‘s Anthony Bridgerton.

In a new interview with Glamour UK, Simone discussed the difficulties of acting in a corset.

“I realized when you wear the corset, you just don’t eat. It changes your body. I had a smaller waist very momentarily. Then the minute you stop wearing it, you’re just back to how your body is. I had a lot of pain with the corset, too, I think I tore my shoulder at one point!” she said.
