Kuwait: Check on meat prices as Ramadan approaches
Officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry made an inspection tour in the meat markets at the Mubarakiya area, as part of the ministry’s efforts to monitor the prices of basic foodstuffs in preparation for the approaching holy month of Ramadan.

A team of inspectors from the ministry monitored prices in meat markets and butcher shops in the Mubarakiya area and warned the owners of the shops to comply with the prices, especially during the month of holy month of Ramadan, Director of the technical committee for supervising goods at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Mr Faisal Al-Ansari, said.
Action will be taken against the shops in case of any violations, he added. Penalties, including closure of the shops, will be taken against any one who violates the price policy.
