In continuation of the ongoing England tour of West Indies series, England would be desperate to get a series victory after losing the T20I series 3-2 on the last match. England has undergone a massive change in their lineup with pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad being the key missouts. Though the pacers were not to be fully blamed for England’s horrible performance in the Ashes 2022, experts claim it was the fault of the batters who failed to perform big for their side.

England played a 4-day warmup game against the West Indies Cricket Board President team which resulted in a draw. The English team got a much-needed and vital practice in the Caribbean soil with players like Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Dan Lawrence, and others performing really well in the warm-up game.

England scored 466/6 in the first innings with Bairstow scoring an unbeaten 106. In reply, the WICBP scored 264 where Jack Leech scalped 4 wickets. In the second innings, England declared at 164/4. WICBP held their nerves and saw the match to a draw at 123/7 at Stumps on Day 4. Overall it has been a good performance by the English team in both departments of batting and bowling.

The two teams will be eyeing to better one another in the upcoming 3-match test series. However, the English side would be under immense pressure after their poor performance in recent games alongside huge expectations on their shoulders.
