The Washington State Senate passes a bill granting gig drivers some benefits without classifying them as employees; Gov. Inslee has not said if he will sign it  —  Lawmakers have passed legislation granting benefits and protections, but allowing Lyft and Uber to continue to treat drivers as contractors.
