Liverpool could welcome Thiago Alcantara back from injury for this week’s crunch Champions League knockout stage second leg fixture against Inter.
The Spain international has not played since the League Cup final victory against Chelsea when he was withdrawn before extra-time due to injury.
Jurgen Klopp may decide to throw Thiago back into the starting XI for such a vital European game.
Also back in contention to feature for Liverpool is Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian picked up a muscular injury in the first leg against Inter and has not played since, missing five games in a row.
Joel Matip missed the weekend victory against West Ham due to illness, and although he may be back in training, Ibrahima Konate could continue in defence after impressing on Saturday.
In the first leg at San Siro, Liverpool secured a 2-0 away victory thanks to goals from Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Alisson will start in goal behind a likely back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk and Andy Robertson.
Should Thiago be restored to the starting XI, it will likely be at the expense of Naby Keita, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho retaining their places from the weekend.
Klopp has an embarrassment of riches in attack now, and must select three from Salah, Sadio Mane, Luis Diaz, Firmino and Diogo Jota.
It may be Mane and Firmino to feature on the bench for this one.
