The World Cup winner missed the Brighton victory due to illness but has recovered over the past few days and is expected to slot back into the defence alongside Harry Maguire.

During the week, Man Utd won 2-0 against 10-man Brighton thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League, two points adrift of West Ham in fifth and four points behind Chelsea in third, though the Blues do have a game in hand.
