Kanye West has had a lot to say about his pending divorce on social media as of late, but it looks like he might be warming up to the idea of Kim being declared single amidst their proceedings–so long as things are done on his terms.
According to TMZ, Kanye is worried about the fate of him and Kim’s assets if she’s considered legally single, and has reportedly filed legal documents outlining his conditions for her to be back on the market.
TMZ reports Ye’s lawyer fears Kim might remarry and move some of their assets to different accounts once she is declared single, and is asking the following: if either Kim or Kanye pass away, Ye wants to ensure any money that is owed to either party gets reimbursed.
Kanye is also asking that a judge block Kim from transferring any assets out of the trust they created together, and he wants Kim to waive their marital privilege pending a final custody decision. Additionally, Kanye wants Kim to waive any spousal privilege between her and a new spouse is she were to remarry, ensuring that conversations between her an a new man about custody could be used in court.
Kanye West’s lawyer reportedly claims Kim has rejected all of the requests included in the new legal documents.
As we previously reported, Kim Kardashian filed legal documents asking a judge to be legally single in December. She also asked that ‘West’ be dropped for her name in order to revert back to using her maiden name. Kim’s request is scheduled to be approved in early March.
