Cairo – : 94 Egyptian companies participating in the events of the biggest food and beverage exhibition in Middle East and Gulf region.
Ninety-four of the biggest exporting Egyptian companies and members of the Food Export Council and Agriculture Export Council are participating in Gulfood in Dubai from 13-17 February 2022. It is one of the biggest exhibition specialized in food industry, both regionally and globally, since it is a strategic hub for manufacturers, suppliers and distributors across the world.
The Egyptian companies are present in 5 halls of the Exhibition, given the variety of products. Sheikh Maktoumhall includes the companies of frozen food, edible oil, pickles, olive, olive oil, snacks, crackers, sweets, honey, jam, pasta products, sauces, food dressings, breed ingredients , fast food, tomato sauce products, etc.
Diary companies with their productsarelocated in Hall 2, wheremeat and poultry companies are located in Hall 3. Beverage and juice companies are in Zaabeel Hall 2, whereas legums and grains companies in Zaabeel Hall 4.
The Food Export Council, with Egyptian Commercial Service and the Commercial Representation Office in Dubai, have invited importers across the countries to Gulfood to see the participating Egyptian companies, in order to discuss means of cooperation.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt is considered to be one of the first countries to take part in Gulfood Dubai, constantly participating for more than 20 years with the presence of the top Egyptian exporting companies in food industry. The UAE market is one of the most significant markets to import Egyptian food products valued at $124 Million in 2021.
Gulfood is the most important exhibition in food industry in Gulf region, as the Arab states of the Persian Gulf represent 13% of all Egyptian food exports in 2021 to reach around $550 million of the total food exports that reached $4.1 billion by the end of 2021.
The United Arab Emirates comes in the 13th place in the list of main importers of Egyptian food products in 2021 valued at 124 million USD to represent 3% of the aggregate values of Egyptian food exports in 2021.
Chocolates are one of the main Egyptian products exported to Arab States of the Gulf in 2021 to be valued at $78 million, followed by the various food preparations valued at $62 million, flavor oils and soft drink concentrates valued at $58 million, frozen vegetables valued at $48 million, frozen potatoes with a value of $37 million, grain products valued at $33 million, manufactured tobacco valued at $31 million, processed cheese valued at $25 million, and others.
The number of exporters of Egyptian food products to Arab states of Gulf has reached 764 Egyptian companies in 2021.
