830,000 people receives booster dose till date

According to the figures, the total number of people who received the third dose of the Covid vaccine in the country exceeded 830,000 citizens and residents, and it is expected to reach the million within few days.

Vaccination of about 85% of the country’s eligible population contributed significantly to reducing clinical occupancy rates in the wards and intensive care units along with reducing the death rates.

Meanwhile, the vaccination of children in the age group from 5 to 11 years with chronic diseases and risk factors continues as per the appointment schedule.

According to the figures, more than 300 children from 5 to 11 years old received the vaccines on Wednesday morning. The vaccination center also received about 3,000 people for their booster dose yesterday.

For children, the pre-booking is necessary and the scheduled message will come in the parents phone number as text message.

Meanwhile, the health sources stressed the need not to continue following the health precautions including wearing masks while meeting people or within social events in closed or open places, in mass transportation, mosques and commercial malls.
