It’s winter here in the North. And for those of you not currently near the 44th parallel, you may never have experienced the need for flannel sheets. Despite having lived here for the better part of my life, I’d refused to purchase flannel sheets. All I could picture were my flannel sheets from my freshman dorm room: itchy, bleh, and a staple of college dorm life.
Given college was now MANY moons ago, Joe convinced me it was time to consider flannel sheets again, especially when I saw this pattern from the Upstate flannel set from Huckberry. When they arrived, it was much to the elation of Joe, who literally shouted “YES” upon me opening the package—brownie points secured! The Upstate sheets are stylish, incredibly soft, and cozy—a far cry from the generic dorm sheets I remember. They are incredibly comforting to sink into at night and, after a couple of weeks using them, I have to wonder what took me so long. Winter and flannel sheets are a match made in heaven. I can imagine they will only get better with every wash, too.
We’ve got a veritable ton of light, breathable, summery sheets that are lovely for the hot and humid summer months but lousy for our current temperatures. I highly recommend rotating your cotton sheets with the Upstate flannel set from Huckberry. Your cold toes will thank you.
