Welp #Roommates, it’s time to cue up Boyz II Men singing ‘It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday,’ because it has just been confirmed that after its fourth season, popular Emmy-winning FX series ‘Atlanta‘ will officially come to an end—and fans are already gearing up to say a final goodbye.
During a recent interview while speaking on the TCA (Television Critics Association) panel, ‘Atlanta’ star, creator and writer Donald Glover explained why the show’s fourth season “ends perfectly.” “To be honest I wanted to end it at Season 2. Death is natural…when the conditions are right for something, they happen, and when the conditions aren’t right they don’t happen. Things start to get weird…you can’t do too much. The story was always supposed to be what it was and the story, it really was us. It was great, all of that came out this season and it ends perfectly.”
Meanwhile, Brian Tyree Henry and Zazie Beetz both expressed their feeling about ‘Atlanta’ coming to an end. “That’s the great part of coming to an end, it’s in the ethos. It’s up there. You can imagine anything you want to,” he said. While she added, “I’m glad i knew it was ending because then I could lean into the relationships knowing this was my last chance to play Van. I think Van changed my life. I’m gad I had the opportunity to…put [her] in the back for now.”
The final season of ‘Atlanta’ will air sometime this fall and the long-awaited third season premieres on March 24.
