“It’s so good to be back. We know how much you have missed The Amazing Race, and believe me we have missed making it for you,” says Phil Keoghan in the first episode of Season 33.
“Tonight’s episode was filmed before the outbreak of COVID-19, which prompted us to suspend shooting at the end of the third leg.
“I am excited to tell you that after a long break, we did finish shooting this season. And once again, the world is waiting for you…”
The series screens in double episodes on Seven from Monday night, which means on Monday 28th, viewers will see the shift between pre / post pandemic in the middle of the double episodes.
For the remainder of the race, which restarts in Switzerland, producers chartered their own plane to travel safely from city to city, delicately keeping cast and crew in a bubble.
9:15pm Monday February 21 on Seven.
