Manchester United will be desperate to get back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday when they welcome Southampton to Old Trafford.
Ralf Rangnick’s side were hardly impressive before, but a defeat and draw in their last two games would suggest that the pressure is beginning to build on the German manager.
Fortunately for the former Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig tactician, Man Utd should be able to welcome back a number of stars and field a relatively full-strength side.
In defence, David de Gea will take up his usual spot between the posts behind a back four of Alex Telles, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Diogo Dalot.
The Old Trafford side are still without defensive midfielder Fred, who tested positive to COVID and will therefore miss Saturday’s clash. Scott McTominay will instead take his place in midfield, alongside Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes.
Despite being dropped to the bench in midweek, Cristiano Ronaldo should return to the starting XI and be joined in attack by Jadon Sancho on the left wing and Marcu Rashford on the right against Southampton.
