Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick will be desperate to see his team pick up all three points against Brighton on Tuesday night and get back into the race for the Premier League top four.
Draws against Burnley and Southampton have severely dented the club’s prospects in the English top flight and anything but three points will be deemed unacceptable by the Man Utd support.
Fortunately for Rangnick, he should have a relatively full strength side to pick from when his team welcome Brighton to Old Trafford.
In defence, Alex Telles will be back from a COVID infection to slot back in at left-back, in place of Luke Shaw. Despite calls to drop Harry Maguire, the England international is likely to keep his place in defence alongside Raphael Varane, with Diogo Dalot on the right flank.
In midfield Man Utd may welcome Fred back to the side, but it’s far more likely that he’ll start the game on the bench. A midfield trio of Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes seems far more likely.
Edinson Cavani remains a doubt for Tuesday night’s game and Marcus Rashford’s poor run of form may see him drop to the bench. As such, a front three of Anthony Elanga, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo is most likely.
